Waßmuthshausen is a district of Homberg (Efze) in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse .

Geographical location

Waßmuthshausen is located in the northern foothills of the Knüllgebirge about four kilometers south of the Homberg city center. The Rinnebach and the district road 36, which branches off south of the state road 3384, run through the village . The Streuflingskopf rises to the southeast of the village with the Knüll wildlife park and the observation tower on the mountain in the park.

history

Waßmuthshausen was first mentioned in a document in 1200. Around 1490 there were six defensive men and three plows in the village .

On December 31, 1971 Waßmuthshausen in the course of administrative reform in Hesse on a voluntary basis in the town of Homberg, district Kassel, today Homberg (Efze) , incorporated .
