Rodemann is a district of Homberg (Efze) in the north Hessian Schwalm-Eder district .

Geographical location

Rodemann is located in the northern foothills of the Knüllgebirge about five kilometers south of the Homberg core town. The Rinnebach and Landesstraße 3384 run through the village. To the east of the village rises the Streuflingskopf with the Knüll Wildlife Park and the observation tower on the mountain in the park.

history

The area was settled as early as the Carolingian era , as ceramic finds near the village show. Rodemann was first mentioned in a document in 1253. Spieskappel Abbey and Breitenau Abbey owned land in the village.

At 31 December 1971 Rodemann was in the course of administrative reform in Hesse on a voluntary basis in the city Homberg incorporated .
