The Spence Harbor is a bay on the east coast of Coronation Iceland in Archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is 1.5 km south of The Turret headland .
The British whaling captain George Powell (1794-1824) and his American counterpart Nathaniel Palmer discovered the bay together in December 1821. The bay was named by Powell, but the naming background has not been passed down.
