The Sphinx Peak is a massive and around 2500 m high mountain peak in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Destination Nunataks, it rises 1.5 km south of Pyramid Peak .
Its name, based on the Egyptian Sphinx , was given by the northern group of the New Zealand Federated Mountain Club Antarctic Expedition (1962–1963).
