The Spieß Glacier is a 13 km long glacier on the Black Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Merz Peninsula, it flows north to a small side bay east of the Hjort massif on the south side of the Hilton Inlet .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969. The British Antarctic Survey carried out further surveys between 1974 and 1975. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1977 after Fritz Spieß (1881-1959), after the death of Alfred Merz scientific director of the German Atlantic Expedition (1925-1927).
