Spiegelberg (barons)
The barons of Spiegelberg were a noble family from Thurgau who owned Spiegelberg Castle near Wetzikon TG in what is now Switzerland .
In 1209 Eberhard bei Mühlibach was named as a witness in a peace treaty between Hugo von Montfort and Abbot Konrad von St. Johann in the Thurtal . From 1218 to 1222 Gisela († 1222) worked as abbess of the Fraumünster Abbey in Zurich, while Ita was a nun there after 1270 .
Elisabeth von Spiegelberg († February 22, 1308) was mentioned as a nun at Fraumünster from 1265 . From 1298 to 1308 Elisabeth was abbess at the Fraumünster. With a certificate issued by the Bishop of Konstanz in 1304, she recognized the validity of the Zurich Letter of Judgment, also for disputes between clergy and citizens.
In 1270 a Rudolf owned a house in Zurich. Another Eberhard appeared in Altenklingen in 1252 as a witness to the sale of the castle of the knight Kuno von Feldbach to the Beguines an der Bruck in Constance.
