The Hohensyburg casino , one of four casinos in North Rhine-Westphalia , was built from 1983 to 1985 according to plans by the architect Harald Deilmann near the Hohensyburg in Dortmund and is the third casino in North Rhine-Westphalia . The Casino Hohensyburg is a good example of Harald Deilmann's clear and tough architectural style. The Hohensyburg casino belongs to the West Gaming Group , which among other things the casino Aachen , Casino Bad Oeynhausen , Casino Duisburg and another at five locations maintains such facilities in Germany. Until the opening of the Duisburg casino, the Dortmund casino was the top-selling casino in Germany.

In addition to the American Roulette , Roulette , Black Jack , Poker and slot machine games, there are regular cultural events. In addition to the gaming area, the Hohensyburg casino also includes a restaurant, two bars, a bistro and a lounge club.

The US entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr. gave a concert to mark the opening of the Hohensyburg casino on June 28, 1985 . The actress Uschi Glas was also present at the opening because she opened the game in the roulette room with the Golden Ball. In 1987 the casino hosted the first AIDS gala. In 1989 the "Palmgarden" restaurant was opened in the Dortmund casino. Two years later, “La Table” opened, which over time has received two stars in the Michelin Guide. In 2006 “La Table” gave way to a banquet and event hall. In 2012, the “Palmgarden” restaurant received the highest rating from the gourmet and travel magazine “Savoir Vivre”. In 2013 it was included in the Michelin Guide with one star. In 1998 the classic game was rebuilt and expanded for the first time. Large-scale renovation work began again on January 2, 2012 while the match was in progress. The renovated building was inaugurated on August 24, 2012. The casino is located within the Saxon Wallburg archaeological monument .
