The Springdrift Ridge ( English for spray ridge ) is a mountain ridge on Signy Island in the archipelago of the Southern Orkney Islands . From the springtail track it extends in a south-westerly direction.
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys between 1947 and 1950. Aerial photographs were taken in 1968 by the Royal Navy . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the ridge in 2004 based on the name of neighboring Spindrift Rocks .
