Spinwam ( Spīnwām , Urdu سپن وام(?)) is a village in the Pakistani mountain region of North Waziristan , about 40 kilometers northeast of Miranshah .

The Spinwam area is highly competitive and there are frequent incidents there with deaths and injuries on both sides. Until 2018 it belonged to the FATA region (Federally Administered Tribal Areas), where school projects are also initiated and maintained. Since then Spinwam belongs to the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa .

Most recently, 20 people (including women and children) were killed in an attack by unmanned aircraft ( drones ) belonging to the American armed forces in March 2011 . It is said to have been insurgents. Five missiles were fired at a building.
