Top hiking trail

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Spitzenwanderweg is a circular hiking trail that opened in 2018 through the Bavarian Alps in the so-called Zugspitz region . The top hiking trail connects the natural and cultural landscapes of the Zugspitze region such as Murnauer Moos , Linderhof Castle , Königshaus am Schachen, Höllentalklamm , Kuhflucht waterfalls and the violin-making metropolis of Mittenwald .

The circular route owes its name "Spitzenwanderweg" to the many church towers and mountain peaks in the region and the fact that Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze, often forms the panorama. It is recommended to hike the top hiking trail in twelve stages.
