Zugspitze region

The Zugspitze region on the German side at the foot of the Zugspitze includes the communities of Farchant , Oberau and Eschenlohe as well as the climatic health resort and former venue for the IV Winter Olympics (1936) Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Grainau with the Zugspitze cable car .
