Starnberg-Ammersee tourist region

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Starnberg-Ammersee tourism region (spelling of the Bavarian State Office for Statistics : "Starnberg Ammersee") is the Starnberg district in Bavaria and the four municipalities of Bernried am Starnberger See , Dießen am Ammersee , Münsing and Seeshaupt outside of it .

The society for economic and tourism development in the district of Starnberg mbH (gwt Starnberg GmbH) markets the region in the spelling "StarnbergAmmersee" and was "founded as an interface between companies, administration, politics and citizens". In addition to marketing aspects in general as a business location, gwt also acts as a tourism association , whose website, among other things, advertises holiday destinations within the region and allows accommodation to be booked. The shareholders of the gwt are the district of Starnberg, the municipalities of the district and the four abovementioned communities on the lakes from the three other districts of Landsberg am Lech , Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen and Weilheim-Schongau , as well as the Federation of Self-Employed - Gewerbeverband Bayern eV and the employers' association Economic Development (UWS).

Demarcation

The Starnberg Ammersee tourism region was still known as the Starnberg Five Lakes region in 2017 , but even then the area of the cultural landscape of the Fünfseenland, with parts of the Fürstenfeldbruck district, was larger than the so-called tourism region.
