Spitzispui is a district of the municipality of Oberrieden .

geography

Spitzispui is about four kilometers west of Oberrieden. The district is connected to the main town by Hohenreuter Straße. The place is in hilly and wooded terrain.

history

In 1421 the place was first mentioned in a document, in which there is talk of a "Mahd and Wlad zu Oberrieden", called "Spitzisbue". Around 1460 the desert woman appeared spitzenspew . In 1987 the hamlet had nine houses with 30 residents. The hamlet became known through the writer Arthur Maximilian Miller . He borrowed the name for his book Swabian Peasant Bible - Sermons of the Pastor Honorat Würstle von Spitzispui .
