The Splinter Crag (English for splinter rock ) is an 80 m high and wedge-shaped rock formation in the north of Vindication Island in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands . On the west and north flanks it consists of steep cliffs , while it slopes gently to the south.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave the formation its descriptive name in 1971.
