Splash Battle
Splash Battle is the name of an interactive water ride in amusement parks from Preston & Barbieri. Various other manufacturers build similar rides, which are usually also referred to as a splash battle .
In the original rides developed by Preston & Barbieri, carriages designed as boats usually run on a rail over a water surface. So it is not actually a water ride, but a kind of monorail . At rides from other manufacturers, some of which are now also produced by Preston & Barbieri, boats swim in fairways through a closed circuit. The passengers have the opportunity to shoot at predetermined targets along the route with water cannons mounted in front of the seats , and in most systems they can also "duel" directly with the passengers in the other vehicles. By hitting the targets, effects such as water fountains, sprinklers or fog can be activated or deactivated. At many facilities, park visitors outside the attraction also have the opportunity to interact with the people in the boats using water cannons attached to the edge of the route and to spray each other.
