Sport-Spiel-Tension was a television program for children and young people that was broadcast from 1959 to 1974 in the afternoon program of the ARD . It was first broadcast on May 21, 1959.

The broadcast was produced by Bayerischer Rundfunk . The moderator was initially Heinrich Fischer , writer and emcee, and later the actor Klaus Havenstein . Directors were Eberhard Stanjek and Sammy Drechsel . It was broadcast monthly on a Thursday (late Friday) from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The program was divided into three thematic parts: "Sport", "Play" and "Tension". In the first part, “Sport”, Sammy Drechsel presented child-friendly sports reports. In "Tension" there followed film clips, for example with Dick and Doof , but also crime series for children and productions by Walt Disney . The quiz “Two in one class”, led by Klaus Havenstein, followed the “game” quiz, in which two students could show their knowledge of their “subject area”, whereby the final question came from the opponent's area of ​​knowledge. Arnim Dahl also showed his spectacular stunts as part of the program .
