Sprantal has been a district of the large district town of Bretten in Baden-Württemberg with around 417 inhabitants since 1973 .
history
Sprantal was first mentioned in a document in 1251 under the name "Spranttal". In 1303 the village was sold to the Herrenalb monastery. Since that very thing passed into the possession of Ulrich von Württemberg in 1523, Sprantal was under his control.
In 1747 Sprantal was finally handed over to the Electoral Palatinate, before the transition to the Margraviate of Baden took place in 1771. Sprantal belonged to the Bretten office until 1936, before it was dissolved and Sprantal was integrated into the Pforzheim administrative district.
Sprantal has been part of the Karlsruhe district since 1939 and part of the city of Bretten since January 1, 1973.
Economy and Infrastructure
In terms of traffic, Sprantal is connected to federal highway 294 via the K 3568 district road. The 733 bus runs from Bretten to Pforzheim and back via Sprantal .
There are no larger companies or industries in Sprantal. There is only one landfill or recycling facility in the Sprantaler district.
