Piping bags with exchangeable plastic spouts

A piping bag , piping bag or piping bag (also piping bag ) is a conical bag made of waterproof fabric or plastic with a piping nozzle at the lower end. It is used in kitchens and pastry shops for temper rolling of whipped cream and creams, mayonnaise , mashed potatoes and the like to mostly decorative purposes or for shaping and portioning. It is commercially available in various sizes and shapes. The classic bag usually consists of very fine fabric, nowadays mostly water-resistant synthetic fiber fabric, while the nozzles are made of stainless steel or plastic .

The piping bag is filled to about half, twisted at the top and operated with both hands. The writing hand holds and guides the spout, while the other holds the pouch closed and at the same time compresses it so that the desired quantity of the mass emerges. In order to do justice to the various purposes and consistencies, piping bags have interchangeable nozzles with openings of different sizes and shapes.

To make work easier and to avoid washing out the fabric skin-pass bags, the catering supplies trade also offers disposable bags made of transparent plastic.
