The jumps stood above the pass road to Breitehöchi at the Fraurüti farms at approx. 860  m above sea level. M. on the ridge of the Bachtelenberg, an extension of the Beretenchopf ( 1104  m ).

history

After the founding of SC Langenbruck in 1909, which is considered one of the older ski clubs in Switzerland, the Erica ski jump was built in 1911. In 1955 the Erzenbergschanze was built, a design by the engineer Reinhard Straumann . At that time it was the largest ski jumping hill in Switzerland and with a K 90 a magnet for the world's elite. Andreas Däscher held the hill record with 84 m.

With the construction of the three Freichelen ski jumps in 1963, the previous ones were replaced. In 1987 the facility received a new judges' tower, and in 1997 the lighting for evening competitions was set up. Only three years later, the last official competition took place with the Swiss Junior Championships in Nordic Combined. In December 2010 it was decided to demolish the outdated ski jumps due to a lack of youngsters.
