Stéphane Ouaiche (born September 18, 1993 in Vincennes ) is a French table tennis player . In 2014 and 2016 he was French champion in singles and in 2016 in doubles with Abdel-Kader Salifou and won bronze at the European championship in 2015 with the team.

Career

The Frenchman started playing table tennis at the age of 9 through physical education at his school. He won several medals at the French championships. He won the singles title in 2014 and 2016 and in 2016 doubles.

He took part in his first European Championship in 2014, where Ouaiche reached the quarter-finals with the team. In 2015 he won bronze with the team at the same event. Because of strong French competition, he was then rarely seen on the international stage.

Play style

Ouaiche is an attacking player. He uses the driver Z as the blade , on the backhand he relies on a Rasanter R47 , while he uses the Rasanter R50 as the forehand rubber . His specialty is the balloon defense.
