Stéphano Bistolfi (born June 7, 1909 in Acqui Terme , † January 4, 2000 in Aubagne ) was a French football goalkeeper of Italian origin.

Career

The Italian-born player, who later took on French citizenship, played for Juventus Marseille in the early 1930s , a club of the Italian diaspora in the French port city of Marseille . From there in 1934 he made the internal transfer to the first division club Olympique Marseille ; in the professional team he was henceforth intended as a substitute goalkeeper. As such, he came on November 4, 1934 to his debut in the French top division, where he let three shots pass against AS Cannes and suffered a defeat due to the goallessness of his team.

In 1935, the team succeeded in winning the national Cup Coupe de France , but he was not directly involved. On October 25, 1936, he completed his last of five league games in a 3: 4 defeat against SC Fives ; this earned him a membership in the team that won the French championship title at the end of the 1936/37 season . Bistolfi ended his career at the same time and lived withdrawn from football until his death in 2000.
