The Stöckel building in Feldkirch at Neustadt 14 is a listed building.
Stacked building
The Stöckel building consists of two street tracts , one in Neustadt and one in Entenbachgasse, both of which have been rebuilt and expanded several times with a core of late medieval substance. The arbor has a groin vault. The barrel vaulted hallway has a passage into the courtyard. The simple central wing is a half-timbered building. The building was restored in 2008 with the architect Josef Schwärzler in cooperation with the Federal Monuments Office and the design advisory board of the city of Feldkirch. A new staircase and a lift were installed in the middle section. The initially untreated Gothic beamed ceiling of the inn was painted in 1520 with the meander carvings in light yellow ocher Veronese Siena and restored in 2011 with the plank wall by the wood restorer Helge Bartsch.
Uses
The Gasthaus Sonne was in the building until 1968 . It contains seminar rooms of the owner Raiffeisenbank Feldkirch in the late Gothic interior from 1474. Four inner-city apartments are offered in connection with the age-appropriate residential complex Wohnen im Alter in Gisingen , which was realized in 2008 . Further uses are two shops on the ground floor. Nine apartments are managed by the Hotel Alpenrose .
