The St-Avit chapel in Aix-en-Othe , a former French commune in the Aube department in the Grand Est region , was built in the 15th and 16th centuries. Century. The late Gothic church building has been classified as a monument historique since 1975 .

history

The present chapel, St. Avitus of Vienne ordained , was the first church building in Aix-en-Othe. It was modified in the 16th century and after the construction of the Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption church between 1580 and 1620, it fell into disrepair. In the 1830s and 1840s the choir was demolished and the portal facade changed. Since then the building has been used as a cemetery chapel.
