St-Guinal is the Roman Catholic parish church of Ergué-Gabéric in Brittany . The church with churchyard and ossuary have been classified as a monument historique since 1939 .

history

The church, consecrated to St. Gwenhael in the local spelling variation Guinal , was built in the 16th century in the Flamboyant Gothic style over the ruins of a previous building from the 13th century. The church has three naves and a north transept. In the east the three naves are just closing and the choir does not protrude beyond the aisles. In the middle of the east end there is a large flamboyant tracery window from 1516, the stained glass of which shows twelve scenes of the Passion of Christ . The three ships are located under a shared towing roof. Access is via a porch in the south. The western parts of the nave were redesigned in the 18th century. A bell tower resembling a roof turret is located above the west gable. The ossuary in the cemetery was built in the 17th century.
