St. Johannis Church (Aschersleben)
The St. Johannis Church is a Protestant church building in the north of Aschersleben , Oberstraße 38, and, like the St. Stephen's Church and the St. Margaret Church, belonged to the parish of Aschersleben.
architecture
The church was built in 1904–1905 as a St. John's Chapel. The design of the simple, brick- built church with a pseudo transept came from the city building officer Friedrich Hesse. A small ridge turret crowns the building. Plastered surfaces are inserted into the brick decor of the facade, which is designed in Gothic style .
Except for the baroque baptismal font, the interior has no special pieces of jewelry. The organ gallery has a metal balustrade with a floral design. The choir is divided into three parts.
