St. Nikolai Church Betygala (lit. Betygalos Šv. Mikalojaus bažnyčia ) is a Roman Catholic neo - Baroque church in Betygala , in the Rajongemeinde Raseiniai , 16 km east of Raseiniai in Lithuania .

history

In 1416 the first wooden church was built. In 1505 the town of Betygala was donated to the parish. Žygimantas Senasis allowed the pastor to build and operate 5 pubs in 1516 . In 1579 there was a community school. In 1841 three priests lived here. In 1851 a new wooden church was built.

From 1925 to 1930 a stone church was built. The architect was Vladimiras Dubeneckis . In 1932 it was consecrated by Archbishop Juozapas Skvireckas .
