Peter Schindler (pastor)
Peter Schindler (born February 16, 1892 in Frederiksberg ; † February 14, 1967 there ) was a Danish Roman Catholic pastor and writer .
Schindler studied Protestant theology from 1909 and converted to the Roman Catholic Church in 1914 . He then continued his studies in Rome and was ordained priest in Siena in 1918 . After a short service as chaplain in Copenhagen and further studies in Italy, he held various pastoral positions in Denmark. From 1946 he lived again in Rome at the Collegio Teutonico di Santa Maria dell'Anima .
In addition to numerous monographs and biographical and tourist works, Schindler published an important translation of the New Testament into Danish in 1953 .
