History and architecture

The lower part of the tower is still standing from the previous church of Sankt Margaretha, which was demolished after the new church was built. As a thousand-year-old tower, it houses the memorial for the fallen participants in the wars.

The neo-Gothic quarry stone hall with a low, recessed choir with a five-eighth closure was built by Arnold Güldenpfennig in 1893/94 . The ancillary rooms are like a transept, the tower is on the west side. The walls are structured by tracery windows. Pointed groin vaults were drawn in. The equipment is based on the construction period. The high altar is a work by Becker from Wiedenbrück.
