Chapel of St. Anna in Kornhofen

The chapel in Kornhofen, a district of Bad Grönenbach ( Unterallgäu district ), is a Catholic religious building . The chapel was built in 1772 and has the patronage of St. Anna .

history

The chapel is a south-facing building. It has a wooden roof turret with an onion hood. Above the entrance to the chapel, an inscription in a sandstone slab names the builder:

"The chapels were built by the honorable Mr. Franz Benedict Stark Hochfürstl [icher] Kempt [ischer] Baumaist [er] A. MDCCLXXII"

Furnishing

The altar is a marbled wooden structure with a figure of Christ in the grave. On the altar there is a precious Madonna from the 14th century and in the chapel there is a ceramic figure of Anna Selbdritt from the 15th century. Wooden figures from the 15th century depict the saints Apollonia , Sebastian and Ottilie , among others .
