St. Anna (Heessen)
The Catholic Chapel of St. Anna , also known as the Annenkapelle, is a listed church building in Heessen , a district of Hamm in North Rhine-Westphalia .
History and architecture
The octagonal brick building with a curved roof is crowned with a lantern . The coat of arms above the entrance bears the designation 1728. The chapel stands next to the former infirmary . Inside, a domed vault rests over a profile cornice.
Furnishing
- The column reredos with explosive gable is probably from the construction period.
- The altar panel is from the 19th century
- The wooden figures of St. John of Nepomuk and St. Franz Xaver are probably from the first half of the 18th century.
- The bell was cast in the 13th century.
