St. Anthony's Seminary

St. Anthony's Seminary was the name of a private school owned by the Roman Catholic Church . It was located in Santa Barbara , California and was run by the Franciscans . It opened in 1896 and closed in 1987.

Sexual abuse

A study from 1993 revealed a number of cases of sexual abuse: Between 1964 and 1987, eleven perpetrators abused at least 34 victims between the ages of 7 and 14. The consumption of alcohol and other drugs was also reported . Many victims did not realize the connections between the causes and the emotional and health consequences until they were four years old or later and had gone through painful experiences to realize that their damage was permanent and inevitable. Depression and dissociation , among other things, are described as emotional consequences in summarizing presentations .
