Saint Bartholomew Church

The Saint Bartholomew Church is the Protestant church in the village of Drübeck in the city of Ilsenburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

architecture

Today's church was built in 1880/90 on the site of a previous building from the Middle Ages . The hall church , built with regular blocks, is unplastered. To the west of the ship there is a rectangular church tower, which is crowned by a pointed octagonal helmet and decorated with small corner turrets. On the east side of the nave there is a choir on a square floor plan and a semicircular apse .

The nave has a barrel vaulted ceiling, while the choir is spanned by a flat ceiling. However, originally a flat wooden ceiling also appears to have existed in the nave. Remnants of the attachment of such a ceiling can still be seen. Most of the furnishings date from the construction of the church at the end of the 19th century.
