history

A church in Puchschlag was first mentioned in a document as early as 814. Also the Castulus - Patrozinium points to old age. The current church dates from the late Gothic period. In 1663, after the devastation in the Thirty Years' War , it was redesigned in Baroque style , leaving the choir and the tower substructure in place, and further rebuilt in 1729. In the northern corner of the choir is the 42-meter-high tower that can be seen from afar. It is one of the most elegant baroque towers in the wide area.
