St. Elisabeth (Rockhausen)
The village church of St. Elisabeth is in Rockhausen , a district of the municipality of Amt Wachsenburg , in the Ilm district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish Ichtershausen-Holzhausen in the parish of Arnstadt-Ilmenau of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
history
The high cemetery wall and a system of ditches indicate the existence of a previous building. The church tower has a defensive character .
To the church itself
The church is a new building from the year 1690. At that time the patron was the house of Schwarzburg zu Arnstadt and possibly von Käfernburg .
