St. Elisabeth Church in Weissenfels

The St. Elisabeth Church is a listed Roman Catholic church in the town of Weißenfels in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the building is listed as a monument under registration number 094 09271 .

The namesake is Saint Elisabeth of Thuringia . The architect of the St. Elisabeth Church, which was built from 1872 to 1873, was Arnold Güldenpfennig . The tower was built between the nave and the rectory . From the street, it looks like a roof tower . This type of construction is due to the small size of the property. The church was completed in 1912 with a transept and a new choir .
