The parish church of St. Josef is a characteristic church building in Raigering , a district of the city of Amberg in the Upper Palatinate ( Bavaria ), which was built from 1969 to 1971 in a modern style. The Raigering parish originally belonged to Aschach; After the completion of the church, Raigering became the parish seat.
The foundation stone of the modern parish church was laid in 1969 and the consecration took place in 1971. The building is in the shape of a tent . A very large window area towards the west is remarkable. A bell carrier made of concrete is in front of the church in the manner of a campanile . The war chapel from 1933 stands next to the building.
The bell foundry Karl Stumpf in Heidelberg cast the bells in 1972, they sound as an "ideal quartet" with the tone sequence e′-g′-a′-c ″.
