St. Katharina in Ottenhofen

The Catholic branch church St. Katharina is located in the municipality of Ottenhofen in the district of Erding in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria .

The core of the nave of the church is Romanesque, it has a baroque barrel vault with stitch caps and stucco . The church was significantly rebuilt around 1700, i. H. Baroque style : the nave was lengthened by a yoke, the choir was expanded and the striking onion dome was built in its current form. In addition, the interior was provided with stucco and paintings.

Two art-historically valuable grave tablets made of marble or red marble for Gerhart Ottenhofer from 1429 and Friedrich Eßwurm from 1556 are remarkable.
