The Filialkirche St. Lambertus is a Roman Catholic church in the village of Amelgering in the municipality of Hohenpolding in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding .

architecture

The uniform hall was built between 1756 and 1757 with the master builder Johann Baptist Lethner from Erding and consecrated in 1764. The slightly drawn-in choir adjoins a rounded nave. The west tower shows the typical Lethner round arch niches with slits of light. The facade is structured with pilaster strips. The numerous picture fields in the church show popular paintings by the painter Franz Joseph Aiglsdorfer (1757) from Wartenburg with scenes from the life of Lambertus and the two Roman martyrs Johannes and Paulus.

Furnishing

The high altar around 1660/1670 bears sculptures of the Saints Lambertus, Johannes and Paulus. John and Paul were created by the sculptor Christian Jorhan the Elder (1765). The side altars around 1720 with figures from the construction period bear Regina with Agnes on the north side altar and Rupertus with Medardus and Lambertus on the south side altar . The south side altar also bears a figure of the Virgin Mary by Jorhan around 1760.
