St. Laurentius (Thalheim)
St. Laurentius is the Roman Catholic parish church of Thalheim , a district of Leibertingen in the Sigmaringen district .
history
The Catholic parish church of St. Laurentius was built between 1841 and 1843 in Mitteldorf according to plans by the royal Hohenzollern builder Josef Laur . Since then it has shaped the image of the town center with its neo-Gothic, appealing style. Like the old church, which has become too small, it is consecrated to Saint Lawrence , who died by fire as a deacon and martyr.
architecture
The furnishings are uniformly neo-Gothic: the altars come from the Sigmaringen art workshop of the sculptor Franz Xaver Marmon and were erected after 1866.
