St. Laurentius is a Catholic parish church in Westerwiehe , a district in Rietberg in East Westphalia in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . The church belongs to the pastoral network of the parish of Neuenkirchen in the Archdiocese of Paderborn .
history
The parish was established in 1852. In 1855 a chapel was built for the faithful. In 1916 it was raised to an independent parish. When the chapel was too small, the foundation stone was laid in 1921 for an extension of the chapel. In 1971 a parish home with a kindergarten was inaugurated. In 2002 the facilities were expanded.
