The Catholic cemetery chapel St. Lazarus in Bissingen , a community in the Bavarian district of Dillingen on the Danube , was built in the first half of the 17th century. The chapel at Marktstraße 40, at the eastern exit of the town in the walled cemetery, is a protected monument .

description

The St. Lazarus consecrated chapel was built in the first half of the 17th century and the windows were changed in the 18th century. The single-nave building made of broken and brick masonry with a three-sided end has a flat ceiling. In the west is the rectangular entrance, above which a modern tympanum depicts Jesus Christ carrying the cross in a semicircular field . On the western gable sits an open roof turret of 1860. He has an arched frieze and is powered by a gable roof covered.

Furnishing

The altar dates from the first half of the 17th century and was later revised. The wooden figures of saints date from the 18th century.
