history

Until 1441 the Bühlkirche was the parish church of Beilngries. Since Beilngries had been incorporated into the Plankstetten monastery since 1138 , the pastor of Beilngries was always provided by the monks. The current Bühlkirche was built in Gothic style from 1469 to 1476. It was baroque in 1740. At the same time, it was given a roof turret .

Furnishing

Late Gothic wooden reliefs on both sides of the cross on the high altar show the Annunciation of the Lord , the birth of Christ , the circumcision of the Lord and the adoration of the kings . In the choir there are figures from the time it was built: St. Luzia and St. Michael on the left and St. Nicholas on the right. Epitaphs are set in the church walls . A tombstone was created by Loy Hering .

The keystone in the choir shows the coats of arms of the city of Beilngries, the Hochstift Eichstätt , the Bishop Wilhelm von Reichenau and the year 1476.
