St. Meinolfus is a Catholic parish church in Borchen - Dörenhagen in the Paderborn district , North Rhine-Westphalia . Church and parish belong to the Borchen pastoral association of the Paderborn deanery in the archbishopric of the same name . The church was built around 1220 as a fortified church by Bishop Bernhard III of Paderborn . built by Oesede .

Building description

The parish church is single-nave, three-bay and just closed. It measures 23 meters in length and 9 meters in width. The tower rises above the western yoke. The cross vaults rest on wall and corner pillars and are structured by Gothic belt arches. The eastern yoke closes with a keystone . The east window is early Gothic and has columns and round bars. The other windows are flat arched. The sound holes in the tower are rounded. On the south side there is a portal, which is currently closed and covered with a gable. It is adorned with a coat of arms and inscriptions from 1682.
