Chapel of St. Michael in Königsdorf

The catholic chapel of St. Michael in Königsdorf , a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen , was built in the 16th and 17th centuries. Built in the 17th century and redesigned in the Baroque style in 1733 . The chapel at Beuerberger Straße 4, next to the parish church of St. Laurentius , is a protected architectural monument .

The hall was built from tuff masonry. After secularization in 1803, the chapel was supposed to be demolished. The pastor and the community were able to prevent this and the chapel was then converted into a school building. After the school was rebuilt, the building remained unused for a long time. In 1966 the chapel was restored to its original state and has been used as a cemetery chapel ever since.

The two side altar paintings show St. Francis Xavier and St. John Nepomuk . The main altar was dedicated to the Archangel Michael , the altarpiece is no longer preserved.
