history
A former single-nave building with a round apse from around 800 was discovered during renovation work in 1962. The church has expanded several times over the years. In 1315 the building was extended to the east and the tower on the southwest side was extended with arched friezes. The late Gothic redesign took place around 1500.
The baroque furnishings come from an extension around 1700, which was consecrated in September 1708. The crucifixion group on the north side comes from the pilgrimage church Heilig Kreuz, which was demolished in 1795. From 1914 to 1955 the church served as a parish church , since then it has been a branch church of the parish church Maria Himmelfahrt.
