Peterskirche

St. Petri is an Evangelical Lutheran church building in Remlingen , Wolfenbüttel district , Lower Saxony .

history

There are no records of the building history, only a documentary mention that a pleban was named for this church in 1234 .

The year 1508 in a stone on the south-eastern edge of the wall shows that the nave was extended to the east. There are also transitions between old and new masonry. A restoration was carried out in 1772. The church tower was built between 1594 and 1596.

The church was hit during World War II and later rebuilt. The tower was formed from inside with supporting concrete. The outer walls of the nave remained, but the inner part of the church was completely renewed. The renovations include the altar, the stained window and the gallery with organ.
