St. Servatius is a Roman Catholic branch church in the local community of Gemünd in the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .

history

Interior

The church in Gemünd was mentioned for the first time in a contract concluded with the Trinitarian monastery in Vianden in 1563. It was also mentioned in a visitation protocol from 1570. The building was built in late Gothic form in the 16th century. The year 1545 on a bell may be a reference to the time of construction.

The nave church has a two-storey in the east choir tower , which originally had a Gothic cross vault in the choir room in the tower basement. The windows in the nave were enlarged in the 18th or 19th and closed with a rounded arch. The altar dates from 1766.
