St. Ursula (Most)
The Catholic parish church of St. Ursula is a listed church building in Meiste , a district of Rüthen in the Soest district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
A previous church, of which the west tower in the current church has probably been preserved, existed as early as 1191. The tower is structured with acoustic arcades divided by columns . A pyramid helmet was put on him. A somewhat smaller building with a retracted rectangular choir was excavated under the hall . The current three-bay hall church with a retracted choir and a three-sided end was consecrated in 1736. The groin vaults with neo-baroque paintings were drawn in in 1910 and restored in 1976.
Furnishing
- The main altar with a depiction of the church patron dates from the second half of the 18th century.
- The side altars were also built in the second half of the 18th century.
- The pulpit with evangelist figures was made in 1735.
- The organ was installed by Gottfried Frisse in 1741 and restored to its original state in 1987/88.
- The double Madonna is from the 18th century.
- The three bells were made of chilled iron in 1921.
