St. Vitus is a chapel in Bechtenrot, a suburb of Erolzheim in the Biberach district in Upper Swabia . It is somewhat hidden near the Rotweg leading to the Rot .

The chapel was consecrated in 1407 during the tenure of Abbot Nikolaus Faber . The easted, single-nave, beaver-tail-roofed sacred building has a western roof turret with a hood under which a bell hangs. The chorus ends with a three-eighths ending. The west facade is windowless; The building receives natural light through two windows each on the north and south sides of the nave. The entrance to the building is on the south side.

In the 18th century , the interior was redesigned in the Baroque style, including a ceiling painting depicting the Immaculate Conception of Mary. The high altar sheet describes a scene from the life of Saint Vitus .

The chapel was last renovated in 1984/85.

In 2008, at the chapel Gebhard Fürst , the bishop of the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart, celebrated a pontifical ministry as a field service .
