St. Wendelin (Günzegg)
The Roman Catholic St. Wendelin Chapel is located in Günzegg , a district of Böhen in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria . The chapel is a listed building. Saint Wendelin is the church patron .
Building description
The chapel was built in 1818. The nave consists of two window axes and is covered with a flat roof. The windows are ogival and the entrance is arched . The choir is drawn in and closed in a semicircle. The gable of the chapel has a wooden roof turret.
Furnishing
The altar is a marbled wooden structure and dates from the beginning of the 19th century. The canteen of the altar is concave . In the retable niche is the wooden figure of Saint Wendelin. There are other wooden figures in the chapel. These are a standing Madonna from around 1500, a crucifix and an Immaculate from the end of the 18th century.
